The Midnight Chronicles-Geography
Sophia Snipes
8/6/2016

I haven't explained much about where the Midnight Chronicles takes place.
The continent is called Dekussata, which means ten-like, as in the Roman numeral ten(I made a spelling alteration to Dekussata, it was originally decussata), I named it that because the borders between the kingdoms look like one giant X.
There are four main kingdoms on Dekussata, the Northern Kingdom, covered in snow, mountains, and icicle forests. The Southern Kingdom, a desert, with a few canyons. The Western Kingdom, mostly forest and swampland, and a few open fields. And the Eastern Kingdom, mostly open plains bordered on the northern side by mountains.
In the center of the four kingdoms is the Black Plain, where the former Tower of the High Council of Wizardry is, but it's now controlled by Saldumaur's forces.
Outside the four kingdoms are the Tribal Nations, and thick rainforests, and jungles.
In the southwestern corner of Dekussata is the Cursed Lands, where all the creatures like werewolves and vampires come from, though they rarely travel outside their home due to the thick protective ring of jungle they have to pass through to leave.
I just recently came up with all of this, I hope it makes sense.
Happy writing!
