“Mel Anderson.” I answered simply.
Anna and Jonathon looked at each other and froze.

“Uh-did I say something?”

Anna quickly snapped. “No. Sorry.”

Jonathon spoke up, and I thought his voice sounded so sweet. “Did you just say you are the Melanie Anderson?”

“The?” I shook my head. “Wait a minute. I’m confused. It’s just me, normal Mel.”

"Where is your necklace?" Anna asked, gasping.

“Could you just get right to the point, Mrs. King? I don’t know what’s happening, sorry.”

“Don’t be. Melanie, I am your aunt, and Jonathon is your cousin.”
