He peeked out between the crack in the door. The cops ran past. It was safe. He opened the door quietly and ran in the opposite direction of the mall cops. Clutching his jacket hard, he burst out of the front doors, and hopped in his car. Angry people and cops yelling behind him, he raced out of the parking lot.
