I was inspired to write a poem. Thank you Riding for God!
Fri, Mar, 23
The sun was shining bright into my eyes as I was staring at the bright blue sky searching for clouds. Only two little teeny, tiny clouds caught my eye. The wind was blowing making the 65 degree weather more like 40. Clenching my sweater closed with one hand, the other placed on my light brown shoulder length hair, stopping it from flying off my head. My summer dress flowing all over, flying high with my under shorts revealed I quickly shove it down causing my coat and hair to fly in the wind. I run towards our neighbors yard, camera in hand and I quickly take some shots of the wildlife refuge. On this day I could see my neighbors beautiful yard, flowers sprouting everywhere with a breath taking cherry blossom filled tree. I felt like it was a dream. Oh, I wish I could be taking a nap under that shady tree, day dreaming about 'Him'.
Unfortunately I was still stuck in my busy house, no peace, or shade. Just a couple steps to the right and I would be standing on their driveway, picturing myself living in that house....
I run to my front yard, take the garden gnome out of the mud next to the 4 leaf clovers and place him in a magnolia bush. Just the right position and, click! Thats one awesome pic! I rub the mud off of his rosy cheeks and polish them, shiny. Next I position him in the daffodils, click! The one sneaky pic!
I run to the back yard and smell the flowers...eyes on the lavender patch. "Wow" there are so many bees in those flowers! Has to been hundreds, I get a couple steps closer and hear them. Ahh, such a soothing sound. I run to the cottage at the end of the path. There is a Garter snake slithering in the front porch! Ew!
I grab my phone and click Instagram, take a pic of the glassy blue sky, the blossomy tree, and the lavender patches. Oh! There are the chickens! Im glad God game me this life!
