Ok, so I am not sure if anyone has done a contest like this but I am going to do it again. Ha.
Write a fable. Like Aesop's Fables. We were learning about him in history and one of the assignments was to write your own fable. I want to see how creative you guys are!
Instructions:
1. It has to have 2 or more animals of your choice.
2. It has to be 4 paragraphs or less
3. List the moral of your fable (or a verse)
4. Have fun!
"Prize": Your characters will get to be in one of my stories.
Ill read all of your stories and comment on them.
I will award the story that is most creative, and original.
Here is my fable:
The Rats and the hungry Owl
There once was an Owl that sat at its perch every night looking for nice big fat rats to eat for dinner. The tree also had a hole that a little rat family lived in. The father rat, who was not wise at all, looked at his skinny rat babies and said, “My dears, go run free and look for some food. It is time for you to learn how to take care of yourself on your own,”
“But father,” one of his wise rat babies said, “We will get eaten by the owl that sits at the very top of this tree!”
“My little one, you are too skinny to get eaten by that picky old Owl,” the rat father said.
“But father! He will eat anything he can get. He just prefers fat ones,”
“Leave, or your mother will catch me sending you out,” said the father.
The baby rats left their home and got eaten that very hour.
Proverbs 3:13
“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding”
