Clarissa the pegasus was on her way to the Pheonix Tower, where the Pheonixes lived when the Doomsday Dragons attacked.
The Doomsday Dragons were called that because there was always a sign before they came. Usually it was a house spontaneously combusting.
Which had happened at 3 21 that very afternoon.
But the Pheonixes had to be fed, didn't they?
THat's why the King Pegasus sent out his specially trained Dragon Fighters out to feed the Pheonixes on Doomadays.
Which, fortunately, Clarissa was!
Four red and purple dragons flew like rockets above the city.
They screamed.
Dragon screams are heard rarely, in the exception of Doodmsday Dragons.
There are two types of dragon screams. There is their agressive, angry scream, and there is their pain, sad scream.
In this case it is the first.
All dragon screams are high-pitched and can be heard for miles and miles and miles.
which means that they are capable of creating loud noises.
All the pegasus pedestrians screamed their worry pegasus scream (not near as loud or well-known as dragon screams) and ducked under the nearest DDD, or Doomsday Dragon Ditch, which are unflamable covered ditches.
Clarissa, however, turned to face the dragons. Two other Dragon Fighters that happened to be nearby joined her. She recognized them as John and Copey, her fellow Dragon Fighters.
"YYYYAH!" She neighed as she leaped up to the dragons and kicked the first one in the face.
She leaped off onto the cement, using her wings to soften her landing.
This happened in one rapid, fluid motion, in the hummingbird movement that only pegasi can manage.
The dragon, startled by Clarissa's action, nearly fell, but his dreagon instincts took over and he stopped himself.
The dragon to the left grunted something in Dragon to his friends.
Immediately the middle one blew fire on the three pegasi.
Clarissa leapt into the sky, John leapt to the left and Copey leapt to the right.
The two male pegasi were blinded by the red fire that Doomsay Dragons achieve after years of practice.
Only Clarissa could see the dragon on the left swing out above her two friends.
It was up to her to stop him.
