"Dude, are you okay?" asked Dylan. I was silent for a moment, rage bubbling through my system. They...they had killed my father. And they would pay.
I stood up, accidentally smacking into Alex and Dylan, but I didn't care. My fists were clenched, my expression grim.
"What is wrong with you?" asked Alex. I spun around, facing them. "I just found out;" I gasped, trying not to shout; "That those men on the bus? They killed my dad."
There was silence for a few moments.
"Are-are you sure, Jacob?" stuttered Alex. "I mean, you can't possibly be cert-" "I'm certain." I interrupted. And I told them what I had seen.
Like me, they were shocked, but not as angry as me.
"Man, you don't have to do anything." said Dylan. "The cops will get them, and-" "But I don't want to stay here and cry about it." I said, ignoring him. "I can help, and I can avenge my dad, too." "Vengeance won't get you anywhere." argued Alex. I ignored her as well. "Do you know how it feels to find this out?" I said to them. "Do you realize, realize what this means?" "Calm down Jacob, calm down!" said Alex.
But I didn't want to listen. I was going to avenge my dad, and find out what these people wanted. Alex sighed, and said; "Look, if you're serious about this, let's at least find out what they want. I grunted. "Sounds like a plan to me." I said. "Hey, don't leave me out!" exclaimed Dylan.
So I wrote down a note to my mom, saying where we were, and we headed off. This would be where the adventure would begin...
