Night Hawks part 2

"Zim, hurry!" Zim felt the sweat glisten on his forehead as he rapidly tapped the keyboard. There! He pressed the 'enter' button. "Self-destruct activated," The computer voice warbled. "Let's go!" Zim yelled. He led the way out of the tunnel, and lept into the air, Carin hard on his heels. Zim spread his wings, and they took off, silently gliding through the night air. Then it came. Zim could feel the heat of the explosion as a tremendous bang cut through the night. Metal, like meteorites, began falling around him. He glanced to his right. Carin was following still. Their work was done.

Zim and Carin made their way through the streets. Not that it was actually busseling with acivity, but they had to keep in the shadows, to keep any of Zorginian troopers from seeing them. "So," Carin whispered, breaking the silence, "do you think the elder will really recruit some of the half-breeds?" Zim shrugged. "I don't really like the idea," He said, "after all, their technology created this whole thing." Carin nodded. "My sister always told me that it's not their fault, but I don't agree." Soon, they reached the small doorway. Zim knocked once. Someone on the inside knocked twice. Zim tapped four times, and the door opened. They stepped inside, greeted by Adrial. She grinned. "Well?" She asked. The corner of Zim's mouth tugged into a smile. "Success."

The three walked into the main room. Carin saw all the others, the elder, and three others she didn't know. One wore a hood over her face and electronic wrist blades, the other two wore similar eye pieces over their right eyes. Half-breed technology! These three were half-breeds! "What are they doing here!?" Carin demanded. The elder stood. "They have come to fight." Carin scowled. "For us? Or maybe they wanted to sell more of their inventions to the good Baron." The girl chuckled. "What's the matter? Jealous?" She asked. Carin shook with fury. The girl stepped out of the shadows. She was wearing blue. An uncommon sight, since most of the Tyranians wore brown, or black. She must have one of the more uncommon elements, Carin thought. "No," Carin said, "but maybe you are." Carin could see her white smile in the shadow of her hood. The smile faded. One of the males stepped forward. "You want our help or not?" he asked. "No!" Carin snapped. The elder cleared his throat. "This is Rickus," he said. He turned to the hooded girl and added, "and this is Cordin." He motioned to the other male, who hadn't spoken yet, "and this is Siphos." Adrial scoffed. "We've done just fine without the help of any half breed. We don't need them now." Cordin chuckled again. "Looks like you do," She said. Yorin stepped forward. "Do you half-breeds even have powers any more?" Cordin's face darkened. "Yes, I do. You want me to show you, softie?" Yorin scowled. Softie was another word for amateur. "Who you calling a softie?!" He demanded. The elder cleared his throat again. "Zim," he said, "Was it a success?" Zim stepped forward, glaring at the three strangers. "Yeah, we got it done," He said withdrawing his stare. Silence filled the room.
